The dining table is the one piece of furniture a room is actually organised around. Everything else responds to it. We’ve been looking specifically at wood because it does something no other material quite manages. It gets better with time. Marks and wear become part of it rather than damage to it. What we’ve been careful about here is not just looks. We’ve thought about proportion, whether the leg placement actually lets people sit comfortably, how the surface holds up to daily use, and whether the piece feels like it belongs in a real home rather than a showroom. Some are extendable, some are statement pieces, some are quietly perfect for smaller spaces. All of them are worth the floor space they take up. That is the only criteria that matters.
