The dining table is the one piece of furniture that has to do everything. It holds birthday dinners and Tuesday night pasta. It doubles as a desk, a craft table, a place where important conversations happen without anyone planning them. Getting it wrong is expensive and living with the wrong one is a daily frustration, too small for the room, too fussy to actually wipe down, the kind of thing that made more sense in the shop. We have been looking at this very carefully. What we want is a table that earns its place visually without demanding the whole room bow to it, that seats the number of people you actually need to seat, and that gets better with a bit of use rather than looking tired. Solid wood that develops character. Stone that looks as good with breakfast as it does with candles. Sizes that suit how British homes are actually proportioned. These are the tables we would genuinely build a room around.
